RSV Engineers are on ground in Namutamba
RSV Engineers are on ground in Namutamba taking soil samples ahead of the take-off of our #NamutambaCommunityWaterProject that will see over 12 villages in a 6km radius (a target population of over 2000 people) get access to clean piped water. Ewb Penn State will be visiting the community come August, and we are excited to receive them.
Water is key for the holistic community development, for health, income and lowering the expenditure of the households. Clean water eliminates lowering and ultimate waterborne diseases and illnesses, which automatically reduces hospital visits in an already impoverished health care system so that families will be able to save and invest in income generating activities for the households.
With access and affordable clean water, the youth, especially girls, will be able to attain their education without absentia due to improved health standards and shortened distances to water sources. The girl child will be able to attend school regularly, improve school retention and obviously better grades.
Launching... 'Bringing Water to Namutamba'
The first community meeting announcing the plan to bring water to Namutamba.
Committee Meeting
KCEF Founder, Ann Bunyenyezi Karasanyi and KCEF Secretary, Kyambadde Richard, met with team Members from the committee that is working with the local community regarding women empowerment.
Empowering Women in Farming and Craft making
In line with our core mission, KCEF has adopted a community of women that we will be empowering in farming and craft making, so that they can eventually become economically sustainable enough, to support their children and put food on the table.
The images on the right depict a class being held to show the women 1) how to organize farming techniques that will help them grow crops successfully and 2) how to make crafts that can be used in their homes. . . so they will have a substantive amount for consumption and the surplus of crops and crafts, can be sold in the market, in order to generate an income.

Every human has a right to clean and safe water, proper sanitation and hygiene practices.
